Welcome to Home of Batavia Youth Baseball (BYB)

Now in our 61st year, BYB is an all-volunteer organization offering a quality baseball program for the children of Batavia and Mooseheart.  Our programs serve over 1,200 players age 6 to 17 with over 90 teams.  With no financial support from any local government,  BYB raises funds through local sponsors, donations, and player fund raising. BYB is in constant need of adult volunteers to coach, prep fields, sell concessions, umpire games, etc.  We encouragew and need your assistance.  BYB holds monthly board meetings (open to the public) on the second Tuesday of each month at the Batavia Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson, 7:30 PM during the off-season, 8:30 PM during the season May through July.

Fall Baseball Registration Closes in Two Weeks

Registration for Fall 2017 baseball closes on August 2nd.  Don't miss the chance to play with your friends, compete against Geneva and St. Charles teams on different fields, and continue to develop your baseball skills.  Many players will move up to a new league, making Fall League a great opportunity to learn the new rules and play on larger fields.

You still have two options for Registration:

  • Fall 2017 only
  • Fall 2017 / Spring 2018 Combined (Save 10% when registering for both now)

Coaches can also register for Fall League (if not previously registered in the past two seasons).

Team formation will begin immediately after registration closes.  Here are some other dates to remember:

  • Practices will begin the week of 8/12
  • Coaches meeting on Saturday, 8/19 to discuss rules with other towns
  • Games to begin after Thursday, 8/24
  • Season ends around Columbus Day (10/9) - playoffs for older ages may finish during that week

The Season will consist of a 12 game schedule for all ages:

Fall 2017 Baseball Registration Now Open

Hello BYB Families,

Registration for Fall 2017 Baseball is now open.  Fall League is a great chance to play with your friends, as teams can be formed by coaches.  See our Fall Baseball Team Formation rules for full details.

You also play up at the next level in many cases, so it helps introduce you to new rules, new fields and more competition.  We run our Fall League with Geneva, St Charles and West Chicago, so a majority of games will be against other towns.

The season starts in late August. Games will mostly be played on weekends after Labor Day, with some weeknight games on lighted fields.  The season will end around Columbus Day in October.

NEW This Season!

BYB is now offering a Combined Fall/Spring Registration.  If you plan to play Fall 2017 AND Spring 2018 baseball, you can now register for both early and save 10% off your registration fees.  Look under "Fall 2017/Spring 2018 Combined" on our Registration page.

We hope to see you out there this fall.  Click here to REGISTER NOW.
