Welcome to the 2014 season of Batavia Youth Baseball
Now in our 58th year, BYB is an all-volunteer organization offering a quality baseball program for the children of Batavia and Mooseheart. Our programs serve over 1,200 players age 6 to 17 with over 90 teams. With no financial support from any local government, BYB raises funds through local sponsors, donations, and player fund raising. BYB is in constant need of adult volunteers to coach, prep fields, sell concessions, umpire games, etc. We encourage and need your assistance. BYB holds monthly board meetings (open to the public) on the second Tuesday of each month at the Batavia Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson, 7:30 PM during the off-season, 8:30 PM during the season May through July.

Thank you to the over 200 players who tried out for Batavia Youth Baseball (BYB) 2015 Travel Teams. We are pleased to announce that we have formed twelve (12) full-time Travel Teams for the 2015 season. Congratulations to all the players that were selected for a BYB travel team.
Players were selected in accordance with our Travel Program Procedures, which includes a weighted combination of tryout evaluations and coaches’ evaluations/input for returning players. For non-returning players, evaluations are based on tryout evaluations. (Use website link to see document for more details).
For the 2015 Travel Season, BYB is looking to add a professional coaching program. The professional coach(es) would work with Travel Team coaches and teams during winter training and summer season. BYB feels that this will enhance our already strong Travel program. More details to follow. BYB Travel Teams will also continue to have access to the Dawg Pound and BHS Field House. These two facilities offer BYB Travel Teams two of the best training facilities in the area.
To secure your team placement, a non-refundable deposit of $250 is required by Sunday, July 20th at midnight. The total fee for the 2015 season will be determined by Fall. BYB’s Travel fees continue to be one of the most competitive and best values in the Fox Valley area.
Batavia Youth Baseball will look to form part-time, tournament teams for the 2015 season. Stay tuned for more information. Part-time, tournament teams allow players to play in-house during the regular summer season and play in weekend tournaments. Benefits include:
Less time commitment for busy families / players in other sports
Can still participate with friends via in-house programs
Lower cost than full-time program
A chance to ‘test’ travel baseball
Allows players to grow into full-time teams especially at younger ages
Batavia Youth Baseball is looking for Volunteers to help out at upcoming events in 2014. If you're not a coach or a team parent, but would like to volunteer some time in other ways, please give us your contact information. As events are added to the calendar throughout the year, you will be able to sign-up as a BYB volunteer.
