Welcome to Home of Batavia Youth Baseball (BYB)

Now in our 61st year, BYB is an all-volunteer organization offering a quality baseball program for the children of Batavia and Mooseheart.  Our programs serve over 1,200 players age 6 to 17 with over 90 teams.  With no financial support from any local government,  BYB raises funds through local sponsors, donations, and player fund raising. BYB is in constant need of adult volunteers to coach, prep fields, sell concessions, umpire games, etc.  We encouragew and need your assistance.  BYB holds monthly board meetings (open to the public) on the second Tuesday of each month at the Batavia Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson, 7:30 PM during the off-season, 8:30 PM during the season May through July.

BYB, Aways Learning and Improving

Dan Sturgeon, ATI Physical Therapy, discusses arm care

On December 2nd, BYB sponsored a Coaches Summit at the Batavia Park District. The theme was, Guiding BYB Players to Improve and Excel.  For over 3.5 hours BYB coaches heard from six speakers on topics that ranged from arm care, concussion protocol, effective coaching techniques, and building trust.  A former BYB player, Connor Riley, MiLB, offered his insights for improvement. The keynote speaker was Luke Johnson, the head baseball coach at North Park University.  The Summit is another reason of how BYB is staying current with coaching trends and helping our youth players to improve.
